GP & J Baker - Chinese Lotus
Condition
Remnant - Vintage
Snob Value
Kicking off in 1884 in England, they have a Royal Warrant (something we are desperate for, haven’t heard back from the Palace as yet) and have the largest privately owned textile archive in the world.
Why we like it
Chinese Lotus is famous, the history behind this design involves The Miing Dynasty (15th - 16th Centruy), renowned painter William Turner and a naughty kingfisher. A collision of chopsticks, feathers and paint.
Boring Information
