WHY LAYER? AND HOW DO I DO IT?

Layering is a method of mixing textile patterns that adds a sense of warmth and timelessness to your home - one that never dates.
It's about mixing pattern scale, classical prints against more modern or geometric ones and different textures.

It is really about balancing pattern and well as colour.  
When you get the pattern balance right, textiles layer themselves.
This approach also means you can add and move items more easily in your home and your home will evolve with you over time, as it should

THERE IS ONE PROBLEM

Layering demands high end textiles because of their amazing colours, base cloths and patterns. And that can be very expensive. We have always believed that when you invest in your home it should be with beautiful quality textiles, that age well and not to be throw out in a few years.


HOW WE CAN HELP

So that's where we come in, we mix more cost-effective vintage or antique textiles with new ones.
Our layering cushions are unique in that one side is vintage or antique, and the other is new - one side is more classical, and the other more geometric or modern.
Flip them whenever you want to 'change it up: they'll  layer themselves

We have been specialising and collecting antique and vintage textiles from all around the world for over 15 years, and we select them based on  brand, printing techniques, weaving methods, pattern types and base cloths. And surprisingly we often find the quality of some vintage textiles is better than the new.  Great quality at a great price.
